Food Insecurity

According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, the Philippine unemployment rate significantly increased from 5.1% in April 2019 to 17.7% in April 2020. This means 7.3 million Filipinos are out of work due to the Covid-19 pandemic. When parents are out of work, many children suffer food insecurity. Proverbs 22:9 Ministries continues to see this depressing cycle in the neighborhoods where our feeding programs exist. Through God’s provision, we will continue to meet the physical and spiritual needs of as many children as we could.
